Karl-Feige Award

The Karl-Feige Award honours outstanding achievements of young researchers in the field of sport psychology. Since 2007, the Karl-Feige Award is conferred to an excellent young scientist every two years at the meeting of the German Society of Sport Psychology (asp). TThe prize is named after the Honorary President of the asp, Karl Feige, who has substantially influenced the establishment of the asp and sport psychology in Germany, in general. The Karl-Feige Award is maintained by the President and the Vice-President Dept. Young Investigators. The awarding procedure is based on the aspirants’ dissertations, which ought to have been submitted no longer than two years prior. The Karl-Feige Award for the promotion of sport psychological young investigators includes prize money of 500 EUR. The awardee is invited to present his or her honoured dissertation on the asp meeting.

tudy Award


Since 2001, the German Society of Sport Psychology annualy awards the asp-study Award for the best, most excellent student thesis. To be awarded are examination papers, master or diploma thesis (no bachelor thesis!), which have dealt with aspects of sport psychology, sports and sports science. Thereby asp wants to set an example for an early promotion of young scientists. The Award is connectet wirh the invitation tp present the thesis as a poster at the anual meeting of the asp. For this purpose, a small grant is awarded.
